Samsung HDD Manages 1TB per Platter of areal-density (enthusiasts rejoice)

Solid State Drives are the geek shop of choice, which looks in her quiet way, lightning-fast and pretty good. However, the limited holding capacity and the rising price of SSDs now many of us to traditional disk-based storage solutions - which is good considering Samsung has to find ways to fit more bits and bytes on each trip. Last year, Sammy's EcoGreen F4EG 2TB expressed on a 3-platter drive (or 667GB per platter), and now the company is prepared to make a new series of Spinpoint drives loose with even higher density at a time and price is TBD. If they do not get the new HDD's promise to 1 TB per disk is spinning at 5,400 rpm provide - that is, 4 TB desktop drives and a terabyte of storage in standard-size laptop hard drive. The 3.5-inch version packs a 32 MB cache and SATA 6Gbps compatibility, while the 2.5-inch has an 8 MB cache and grade 3 Gb / s SATA interface. Knowing all that only one question: Can surface density enthusiasts, the new pixel density lover?
