The European Aerospace and Defense Group (EADS) shows a bicycle made by a process similar to "3D printing." The Airbike is completely made of nylon powder and is manufactured with "additional layer manufacturing", such as 3D printing to improve but with laser-sintering to the bicycle frame.
Through this process the parts are 65 percent lighter that uses the same strength of steel or aluminum in the traditional cycling coverage.
The Airbike in honor of Airbus, who quickly picked up the technology before other companies would notice named.
Although 3D printing technology sounds promising, the process of engine development with this technology without bleeding your wallet dry still far away.
